Statement from Greg Lalevee, IUOE Local 825 Business Manager, on Proposed TTF Agreement
“The news that Legislative leaders and the Governor have come to an agreement to fund the Transportation Trust Fund is a welcome and much needed relief for New Jersey’s workers, residents, and our ailing infrastructure system. Our construction workers and engineers play a pivotal role in keeping New Jersey’s complex transportation system – the lifeblood of our economy – in top shape. This deal provides an essential, dedicated, and long-term source of revenue for the TTF that ensures our transportation system can compete in a 21st century economy, and will help us to avoid another catastrophic transportation shutdown. It also contains sensible tax cuts that will help all New Jerseyans, keep people and business in our great state, and offer additional tax cuts for our seniors, lower income families, and veterans. I’d like to thank Senate President Sweeny, Assembly Speaker Prieto, and Governor Christie for their leadership on this critical issue, and urge all members of the legislature to vote in favor of this smart and well thought out plan.”

We carved up a 300-pound pig and had plenty of burgers, hotdogs, beans and salads to feed an army.

Thanks to John Rocco for pulling it together and Greg Lalevee who was on hand to congratulate the prizewinners. Everyone got 100 chances to hit a clay pigeon and some did better than others. But everyone had fun … here’s some more proof.
