For the first time, Local 825 is hosting a health fair ahead of the Semiannual Meeting. Join us on January 13 at the East Brunswick Hilton for biometric screenings, vendor tables, giveaways, and more. Special tables will feature Carhartt, VFW, MAP, and the Training Center. One of the victims of the 2020 pandemic was an end to the health fairs. It has been nearly four years but the Union and Funds office have been working on bringing them back, beginning in May.
There are some new features to the health fairs. Local 825 has partnered with Ramp Health, who will perform blood pressure screenings and biometrics. In addition, some lab services will be offered, such as:
Many of the Local’s Health Partners will be in attendance as well as Fund’s staff. Before each event there will be a mailing to members residing in each district, along with registration information. The dates and locations are as follows:

For eight straight years, the Local 825 scholarship fund-raising golf outing has taken place, even through last year’s virus-related shutdowns. The ninth annual outing is scheduled for May 9 and it is not too early to register to play or participate as a sponsor. We’ve attached a flyer with all the details so save the date for another great year, all for the benefit of our scholarship fund and our children and grandchildren.

The Local 825 2020 Golf Outing on Sept. 19 is sold out for golfers. (Sponsorships and contributions are still being accepted). That’s good news for the scholarship fund and children and grandchildren of members who will be applying for scholarship help next year. It is not good news for anyone who waited too long to sign up! The golf outing is a favorite activity and will be held at the Gambler Ridge Golf Course in Cream Ridge. Now all we need is great weather!

As always, the health and safety of our members, employees and colleagues is our top priority. Therefore, we are implementing processes to address safety, health and wellness concerns overall. As such, we must consider the manner in which business is conducted for our organization.
