NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC OF UNFAIR LABOR PRACTICES
Rutgers University (“Rutgers”) claims to be “Revolutionary” but its labor practices are outdated and unlawful by interfering with and discriminating against Union employees and agents. Local 825 of the International Union of Operating Engineers (the “Union”) has brought Unfair Labor Practice charges against Rutgers for interfering with, discriminating against and/or coercing:
- Operating Engineers employed by Rutgers because of their Union affiliation;
- A Union representative by denying him access to represent his members on campus; and
- An Operating Engineer formerly employed by Rutgers by denying him access to campus and threatening and restraining him from engaging in protected activity.
The Union believes that Rutgers must cease its anti-Union behavior immediately.
Call Rutgers Director, Plants Administration Ted Elonis at (908) 586-8665 and tell him that Rutgers’ actions are unfair and tell him to stop interfering with Union business.
